Dr. Depala is qualified to integrate knowledge about human behavior and development from biological, psychological, familial, social, and cultural perspectives with scientific, humanistic, and collaborative approaches to diagnosis, treatment and the promotion of mental health.

Dr. Depala performs an extensive evaluation upon first meeting with a patient. He spends considerable amount of time answering questions about the diagnosis, explaining how he arrived at his conclusions, what the patient’s prognosis is, and what treatment options exist. He discusses the different options available with patients including the pros and cons of each option. Follow up appointments, though not as long as the initial evaluation, are conducted carefully and thoroughly as well. 


Dr. Depala provides psychiatric services including assessment,

consultation, education and treatment for children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups. Dr. Depala provides extensive evaluations for a wide range of emotional problems and psychiatric conditions. He takes a thorough history, may order lab tests and reviews previous testing and evaluations before arriving at a diagnosis.

Dr. Depala is a medical doctor and can prescribe his patients medications when needed. Medications are not always appropriate for a patient. Dr. Depala is very conservative about using medications and takes care to treat with medication only where it will be both beneficial and safe.


Dr. Depala educates each patient with explanation of the diagnosis and the various treatment options available. He explains through evaluation and therapy what patients need to know to understand about their illness and discusses various options to reach their goals. He takes into account the various biological, psychological and social factors that impact the patient's life.


Supportive Therapy, Marriage Counseling and Family Therapy. Dr. Depala provides supportive therapy for individuals (both children and adults) couples, and families. He also coordinates patient care with other mental health professionals the patient is seeing if any.
